Chris Jones has over 30 years’ experience in management consulting; with eighteen years at Price Waterhouse including the position as director of PW’s regional government services practice.
Mr. Jones was educated in England and in Canada (MBA, Simon Fraser University). He is a Certified Management Consultant, a Professional Economist and a former member of the Institutes of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (FCA) and Canada (CA).
His current professional interests are primarily in evaluation support, policy development, performance measurement and program evaluation in the public and not-for profit sectors. His clients include the BC Ministries of Forests, Management Services, Agriculture, Water Land and Air Protection and Sustainable Resource Management; Natural Resources Canada and the federal Department of Indian and Northern Affairs and Land and Water BC Inc.
Mr. Jones’ teaching experience includes a B Comm. course at Simon Fraser University; guest presentations for Royal Roads’ MBA Program; Management Consulting and Business Research Methods MBA courses at RRU; and Management Consulting Skills courses for managers and partners of Price Waterhouse US and Canadian firms.
He is former chair of the External Advisory Committee of the School of Public Administration, University of Victoria and a member of the Canadian Evaluation Society and the Financial Management Institute, serving terms on the boards of the Institute of Management Consultants of BC, the Association of Professional Economists of BC and the Victoria chapter of the Institute of Public Administration of Canada. He is current Chair of the Public Services Special Interest Group of the Canadian Association of Management Consultants, Vancouver Island Chapter. He has served on the Victoria Advisory Board of the Salvation Army for ten years.
